POSITION: Since the 1st of January 2014 The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ is lead organisation of the European Topic Centre on Inland, Coastal and Marine waters (ETC/ICM) (http://icm.eionet.europa.eu/ ). The ETC/ICM is an international consortium of 18 European partner institutions supporting the European Environment Agency (EEA) in its mission to deliver timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information on European water quality and status of Europe’s seas to policy-makers and the public for the development and implementation of sound environmental policies in the European Union and other EEA member countries.
